The Dragon Fire 8.5 inch is my favorite knife, but is a big large for more detailed tasks. I found myself using a 6 inch Shun chef's knife for the smaller work, but it is not nearly as sharp as the BD1N steel, so I went in search for an alternative. Although I wanted something with a chef's knife shape, this utility knife works well for cutting cherry tomatoes or trimming bell peppers. Came very, very sharp out of the box, and I expect it to stay sharp based on the performance of my other Apogee blades.
